Saw this on FB and promptly decided to get my ass out the door. 3 miles, 33 minutes. Done. There is always time.

Now I remember why this is so important to weight loss. I was putting so much extra “stuff” in my mouth throughout the day without even thinking about it and how easily that “stuff” adds calories, lots of them. I stayed within my calorie limit (thanks in part to my after-school aerobics class). Just food-wise, I was over, but since I burned 500 calories working out, I’ve got a couple hundred to spare. I am also remembering now how hard it is to only eat 1270 calories a day without earning some extra by working out. I definitely have some work to do to get back on track!
I just logged in to My Fitness Pal for the first time in a looong time and inputted my breakfast and morning snack. I will get back in the weight loss game. I was up 4 pounds since the last time I logged. Not surprising, but I guess it could of been worse. 20 pounds to go…
I have been eating like I’ve run a half marathon every one of those days. When in fact, I’ve only run a half marathon one of those days. Must get this under control.
I think when one person in a relationship decides to make some life changes- eating healthy, running often- it can leave the other person in a quandary. Do they join you in your endeavor or watch from the sidelines? Do they encourage you or resent you? Do they follow one step behind you or blaze a trail ahead of you? Regardless, when one person changes, the relationship changes.
My husband and I have been through some really tough times in our marriage, but this last year (since I started my journey of running) has been the best in our 12 years. Once I had been running for a couple months, B decided to join in the fun. It has been so good for us to have common goals and interests to share together. He is so proud of my accomplishments as I am of his. We support each other in juggling the schedules of our 3 boys and finding the time for each of us to get our running in too.
A year and a half ago I never would of dreamed I’d be here in my life and in my marriage, but I’m so thankful I am!
(P.S. That’s the two of us in the last post after the half marathon yesterday. He killed it in 1:57.)
I’m feeling like a real runner today. Went out with a legit group this morning to pound out 5 miles. It was so nice to have the route already marked out for me and some water stops along the way.
